Magruder Earns Gold Seal of Approval
By demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, Magruder Hospital has again earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced on-site evaluation of Magruder on February 26 and 27th of this year. The hospital was notified of its outstanding compliance rate, with The Joint Commission’s standards, in late April. "We seek accreditation for Magruder because we want to demonstrate our commitment to our community’s safety and quality of care," said Cliff Harmon, President & CEO of Magruder.

Golfing for the Goal: Magruder Hospital Auxiliary Golf Classic

The Magruder Hospital Auxiliary is presenting its 2nd annual "Golfing for the Goal" benefiting the improvement of women's health on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Catawba Island Club. Proceeds will be directed towards our 2008 Goal of acquiring new digital mammography technology. Participants will enjoy golfing in the CIC's newly upgraded 18-hole golf course, and the event begins with a luncheon and concludes with a steak dinner followed by the distribution of prizes and awards.

Magruder Hospital is a Tobacco-Free Facility

Attention Staff, Visitors and Patients! Taking initiative to keep our breathing air clean, Magruder Hospital is a
tobacco-free campus, and tobacco use of any kind is prohibited on all Magruder property, inside and out. This
policy safeguards the health of patients, visitors and employees by
prohibiting tobacco use on the grounds of all Magruder facilities.
Magruder’s Tobacco Free Campus Task Force, which includes members
from a variety of areas throughout the hospital, has been working for
several months to make sure the policy, communication and resources are
the absolute best for our patients, staff, volunteers and guests.
Magruder Releases Community Report 2006
Magruder Hospital has accomplished many goals in 2006 with the help and support of board members, staff and the community. We have added talented new physicians to our highly-skilled staff, a new non-invasive cardiac support pump with the help from generous donations at Magruder's Annual Crystal Ball and a new Website.
