Magruder Hospital recently promoted Ann Keegan, RN, BSN, CIC to be the Director of the Medical Surgical Department and Intensive Coronary Care Unit. Prior to her new position, she was the hospital's Coordinator of Infection Control overseeing all of the prevention initiatives throughout the organization.
Keegan graduated from Mercy College with her Associate Degree in Nursing and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowling Green State University. She has over 15 years of nursing experience in the areas of infection control, med-surg, intensive care and long term acute care and is certified in infection control by the National Certification Board for Infection Control and Epidemiology. Prior to Magruder, she worked at Northwest Primary Care, Firelands Regional Medical Center and Elmwood at the Springs Health and Wellness Campus.
In her new position, Keegan will oversee a team of over 55 nurses within her department. She will also continue to oversee the infection control and prevention initiatives of the hospital.
In her spare time, Keegan is an aerobics instructor, an adult outdoor chair advisor for the Boy Scouts Troop 320 and enjoys photography. She and her husband, Troy, live in Clyde with their two sons.
