A Day For Me

The twelfth annual "A Day For Me" program, a free women's health seminar, is scheduled for Sunday, March 18th from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at Magruder Hospital’s Conference Center. Port Clinton Women’s Club is sponsoring this year's seminar in collaboration with Magruder Hospital. This year's theme is "Loving the Skin You’re In".

Rebecca Radcliff“We are really excited about the keynote speaker for the event. Rebecca Radcliffe is a national speaker and we were really fortunate to book her for that day. Between the break-out sessions and Rebecca’s presentation, it is going to be an event that will give women the opportunity to learn about skin care and to feel good about wherever they are in life", said Mary Ann Nehls, Chairperson of “A Day For Me” and member of Port Clinton Women’s Club.

Rebecca Radcliffe is a light-hearted, insightful speaker who has toured the country uplifting communities, schools, women, and girls. Her focus is on inspiring people to dream big, use their talents to make the world a little bit better each day, and live long, healthy, joyful lives. She is the author of several supportive books including: Hot Flashes, Chocolate Sauce & Rippled Thighs; Enlightened Eating; Finding Body Peace; About to Burst; and Dance Naked in Your Living Room. She is an optimist at heart who tells people she plans to live to be 200.

“Every year we try to choose a theme that will be supported by informational topics to interest women. As a committee we stop and consider that if we had an entire day to learn about something, what would we want to know more about? This year’s theme, “Loving the Skin You’re In,” really fit in with our criterion. Every year we have presented a really great day supported by interesting topics, exceptional speakers and of course delicious food provided by the Fulton Street Cafe,” said Kathy Gallogly, Director of Community and Volunteer Services for Magruder.

The agenda for the day will begin with a brief welcome. Participants will then be given the opportunity to choose three of four break-out sessions. The break-out presenters are Michelle Bodie, Board Certified Physician Assistant, speaking on skin cancer and sun safety; Dr. Teresa Ghazoul, Plastic Surgeon, speaking on Anti-Aging Techniques; Dr. Matthew Horn, Chiropractor, speaking on Alternative Methods to Skin Care; and Laura Sanchez, Aesthetician, speaking on Skin Aesthetics.

Please register as early as possible since seating is limited. You may do so by calling Magruder Hospital at 734-3131 ext. 3363 or ext. 3140.
