Magruder Celebrates National Hospital Week, Patient Safety and Nurse’s Week

The week of May 7-13, 2023 was National Hospital Week and Magruder Hospital celebrated staff all week long.  

The week started off with Sharon Cox, a team member in the Fulton Street Café, being named the Magruder Employee of the Year. Throughout the week, staff was treated to cookies, milkshakes, ice cream, chips and dip and a taco bar.  Thank you to the Magruder Auxiliary, Ballreich Snack Food Company, and Toft’s Dairy for making these celebrations possible. 

As part of Hospital Week, each department created a safety poster depicting the theme “Be a Patient Safety Champion: Anywhere, Anytime – Always.” These posters were hung in the hospital café so all visitors and employees could enjoy the creativity. 

Nurse’s Week was also celebrated May 6-12.  Magruder’s nursing administration created goodie bags for all the nurses, and Edgewood Manor, Ohioans Home Health and Stein Hospice treated nurses to a room full of snacks on Monday.
