Magruder Auxiliary Donates to Magruder Foundation Oncology Project

The Magruder Hospital Auxiliary at their August board meeting unanimously voted to support the Magruder Foundation Oncology Project with a $20,000 donation. This donation does not come from the fundraising events that the Auxiliary does each year, such as the Trunk Show, book fair, jewelry sale etc. Those monies are used each year for healthcare scholarships and employee recognition. Over the years, funds have built up in the Auxiliary account and the board members wanted to do something impactful with those funds. Many of the Auxiliary board members have seen firsthand, for themselves or with family and friends, the important work of Magruder’s Oncology Department and were glad to be able to make this happen.
