Magruder Hospital Announces Promotions and Welcomes New Directors

Magruder Hospital is excited to announce several promotions and new directors at the hospital.

promotions and new hiresJill Crawford, MHA, CMPE, has been at Magruder Hospital for nine years as the Director of Clinic Operations, and was recently promoted to Vice President of Ancillary Services and Clinics.  She has been in healthcare for 25 years and started her healthcare career as a clinic receptionist she was able to gain valuable experience in human resources, strategic development, and physician contracting before moving into medical practice leadership for the last 18 years.  Crawford is certified by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) as a Certified Medical Practice Management Executive.

Jason Kraus has a B.A. in Business Administration/Human Resources from Capital University and has 24 years of HR experience, 17 of those in management.  He joined the Magruder HR team in 2011, became Director in 2013, then moved into the Executive Director role and joined the Senior Leadership Team. Kraus was recently promoted to Vice President of People and Facilities where he oversees Human Resources, Marketing/Foundation/Volunteers, Facilities, Food Services, Nutrition, Environmental Services, and Switchboard.

April Pipoly has been with Magruder for over 25 years and was recently promoted to Director of Patient Access.  Pipoly started as a receptionist in the clinics, worked in the billing department, then obtained her medical assistant certification and worked as an MA for several years in the clinics before moving into IT and becoming a Cerner SuperUser.  She then rejoined the Clinic Operations team in 2017, obtained her bachelor's degree and was instrumental in the implementation of Cerner in all of the clinics, and for the last 3 years she has been overseeing Central Scheduling which she will continue to oversee in her new role with Patient Access. 

Erlinda Rangel, MBA, MLS, (ASCP), has been promoted to Magruder Hospital Interim Laboratory Director.  She started her medical career in 2010 and was hired at Magruder as the Chemistry and Serology section head in 2021. Rangel has an associate degree in clinical laboratory science, a BA in hospital administration, an MBA in organizational business management, and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. As the Director of Laboratory Services, she looks forward to overseeing all the daily functions of the lab, the laboratory staff, and the phlebotomy personnel at the hospital as well as the off-site lab draw locations in Oak Harbor, Catawba, and Marblehead.

Nehna Dearth BSN, RN has been promoted to the Clinical Program Director of the Magruder Wound Healing Center.  Dearth graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Bowling Green State University in 2010 and worked as an inpatient nurse and charge nurse for 12 years, primarily with a focus on pulmonary thoracic post-surgical patients and ICU step-down patients.  In 2021 her husband pursued a job opportunity, and they moved their family from Atlanta, Georgia to Port Clinton, OH. She began working as a nurse case manager at the Magruder Wound Healing Center, where she is now the Clinical Program Director. Her husband, Steven Dearth, works in Port Clinton at the Frederick Insurance Agency and together they have two active girls that keep them involved in school, sports, and activities.

promotions and new hiresAudrene Tetzlaf has been promoted to MedSurg and Intensive Care Unit Director.  Tetzlaf began her healthcare career pursuing a nursing degree at Florence Darling Technical College in South Carolina.  She moved up north and finished her degree at Terra State Community College. While working on her degree, she became a State Tested Nurse’s Aide and worked in home health as well as at St. Vincent Medical center. Once she received her RN license, she continued with St. Vincent and worked in cardiac intensive care.  She came to Magruder as a travelling nurse and then joined Magruder as a full time nurse nearly 4 years ago. 

Alison Crawford has recently joined Magruder Hospital as the Director of Clinic Operations. Alison brings over 20 years of healthcare experience with the last 15 years spent in practice management.  Most recently she was the Practice Administrator of Advanced Neurologic Associates. She is currently attending college for her MBA in Healthcare Administration. Alison lives in Norwalk with her husband and children and serves on the Norwalk City School District Board of Education.

Cyndy Winters recently joined Magruder as our new Director of Quality and Constant Readiness. Cyndy is a bachelor-prepared Registered Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience, including two decades in a variety of leadership roles. She joins us from the Columbus market, having recently relocated to our community with her husband. Throughout her career, Cyndy has focused primarily on Perioperative Services, with a strong emphasis on quality improvement, outcome-driven initiatives, and evidence-based practices. She brings extensive experience in regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on The Joint Commission and CMS standards and requirements.
