Magruder Wound Healing Center Receives National Award for Excellence in Wound Healing, and Award for Clinical Excellence in Patient Satisfaction and Wound Healing Rates.
Physicians, staff and leaders at Magruder Hospital are proud to announce that the Magruder Wound Healing Center has been awarded two awards from Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. This is great news for the communities we serve, especially those who are dealing with chronic wounds and wounds that just won’t heal.
"This recognition is a testament to our commitment to delivering the highest quality wound care,” said Nehna Dearth, BSN, RN, Clinical Program Director. “Chronic wounds can be devastating, and we are honored to help our patients regain their quality of life through advanced, evidence-based treatments.”
The prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award was given because the Magruder Wound Healing Center has scored in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics® Wound Care Centers® on the Clinical Excellence measure, which is the Comprehensive Healing Rate weighted by wound mix. This award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
The prestigious Center of Distinction award is given because the Magruder Wound Healing Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent. This recognition is a testament to the exceptional care and dedication demonstrated by the Center’s physicians, leaders, and clinicians.
Jill Crawford, Vice President of Ancillary and Clinic Operations, stated “We are incredibly proud of the recognition our Wound Healing Center has received. These awards reflect the dedication, skill and compassion of our entire care team. Most importantly, they represent hope and healing for the patients and families we serve every day.”
The Magruder Wound Healing Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.
