Magruder Auxiliary Volunteer Recognition Luncheon

Magruder Hospital recently hosted its annual Recognition Luncheon to celebrate and honor the dedicated members of the Magruder Hospital Auxiliary for their invaluable service and support.
In 2025, Auxiliary volunteers contributed an impressive 10,322 hours of service across various departments within the hospital. Their work plays a vital role in enhancing patient care and the overall experience for visitors and staff alike. Volunteers serve in numerous areas, including the Emergency Department, main lobby reception desk, outpatient desk, oncology services, and by assisting patients following surgery. Many also dedicate time to operating the hospital gift shop and supporting a variety of fundraising initiatives.
During the luncheon, volunteers were recognized for their commitment with service pins honoring their lifetime hours of contribution to Magruder Hospital.
The impact of the Auxiliary extends beyond volunteer hours. Through their many fundraising efforts in 2025, the Auxiliary presented a $10,000 donation to the Magruder Hospital Foundation to support a new addition that will house a state-of-the-art MRI unit.
Auxiliary President Ann Lewis also presented Hospital President Nick Marsico with a $16,000 check to support staff appreciation and recognition programs, further demonstrating the Auxiliary’s commitment to those who care for the community every day.
In addition, the Auxiliary continues to invest in the future of healthcare by awarding scholarships to local students. This year, members will distribute $20,000 in healthcare scholarships to students in Ottawa County pursuing careers in the medical field.
“Magruder Hospital is grateful for the generosity, compassion, and dedication of our Auxiliary volunteers,” said Marsico. “Their contributions truly make a difference in the lives of our patients, staff, and community.”
The annual Recognition Luncheon serves as an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional impact of the Auxiliary and to thank its members for their ongoing commitment to Magruder Hospital’s mission of providing quality care close to home.
