Magruder Transforms Lake Erie Sports Medicine & Rehab Department for COVID-19

Posted by Magruder Hospital Marketing on Apr 10, 2020

As with many hospitals in the state and country right now, you will see movement inside and outside of Magruder in an effort to create additional patient capacity space in preparation for a surge in COVID-19 needs. This may include moving department operations or equipment - all this movement is readiness in action.

Here are some photos of the transformation of Magruder Lake Erie Sports Medicine & Rehab Department. It is now an additional patient care area in preparation for any potential COVID 19 surge. We continuously work with local and regional partners ensuring we have the resources and processes in place to meet the needs of our community. It is ever-evolving and we have a remarkable group of people at Magruder and in the county who are getting things done.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continually prepare and adjust on a daily basis. At this time more than ever, it’s important to remain calm and continue to do what we’ve been advised to do: wash your hands, stay home except for essential business, stay 6 ft apart, cough into your elbow etc. It is also a time to be cautious about information we read or share. We suggest The Ohio Department of Health, The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the Ottawa County Health Department and Ottawa County EMA. We also encourage you to check our Facebook page and website as those are the most efficient ways we have to share information during this time.
