The Magruder Hospital Board of Trustees is announcing that Todd Almendinger will be stepping down as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Magruder Hospital at the end of September 2020. Nick Marsico, Magruder's Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, will be replacing Almendinger beginning October 1.
Almendinger, has served as the President and CEO of Magruder since 2012. Prior to becoming the President and CEO of Magruder, Almendinger served as Magruder's Vice President of Finance & CFO beginning in 2006. Before joining the Magruder team, he was employed at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio for 18 years as the Vice President of Finance & CFO. As CFO at Magruder, one of Almendinger's most cherished achievements was eliminating the hospital's debt and strengthening its financial position. Magruder remains debt-free today. Almendinger has been active in the Port Clinton community serving on several chamber boards, business development organizations and social groups. Almendinger is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with an undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters in Business Administration. He has been a resident of Port Clinton since his employment with Magruder in 2006. Almendinger will be retained as Hospital Senior Advisor until January 2021 when he will begin full retirement.

Marsico, Magruder's next President & CEO, graduated from the University of Toledo with his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy graduating cum laude. Marsico came to Magruder in 2005 as the hospital's Director of Pharmacy where he was responsible for overseeing all operations of the pharmacy department. In 2012, he was promoted to an Administrative Director of Ancillary Services and then in 2013, Marsico became Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Since that time, Marsico has been instrumental in helping lead the organization into a cultural transformation. This journey has allowed to Magruder to become a leader in the nation for patient satisfaction, safety and quality.
