Magruder Hospital Suicide Prevention LunceonOn Monday, April 17, 2017 at noon, Magruder Hospital will host an educational luncheon in the Conference Center.  Laura Miller, LISW-S, Site Director, Ottawa County Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services will present “Suicide Prevention: Question, Persuade & Refer To Help Save a Life From Suicide.” 

This can often be an uncomfortable topic, but one of utmost importance and urgency.  Participants will learn how to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal, how to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide, the common causes of suicidal behavior, the warning signs of suicide and how to get help for someone in crisis. 

This luncheon is part of a monthly education series in the hospital’s conference center, which features a different topic and speaker each month. The luncheon series is open to the public and the cost is $6.  The program is free if you do not wish to have lunch.
