We all are inspired by something that opens our minds to endless possibilities. Passion creates our will to not “just live,” but to excel in those things we hold close. At Magruder, our passion is caring for people, and not just when they are sick. By being an active partner in our community, we are able to give back through education, prevention, support, and sponsorships. We are a nonprofit hospital owned solely by the community we are committed to serve.
In 2014, Magruder put another building block in place to support our community, The Magruder Hospital Foundation. This foundation is a nonprofit foundation supporting the mission of Magruder Hospital in providing compassionate care with excellent outcomes for our patients.
Independent community hospitals are vital to the health and well-being of the communities they serve. Magruder has been a solid member of the community since 1940. As healthcare has evolved, small, independent community hospitals have faced a daunting future. As a result of the ever-changing funding programs and regulations, many small hospitals have merged with larger healthcare systems.
Even though Magruder faces these same challenges, we are committed to being an independent hospital with the freedom to make the best healthcare decisions for our community. With the help of donors like you, the foundation can provide necessary assistance to Magruder through equipment purchases, service line expansion and upgraded technology.
The most recent proceeds from the Summer Gala in June and the Golf Classic in July have been designated for updated Cardiac Rehab software. We have raised $27,854.89 at these two events. The revenue from the 3rd annual Bras for a Cause 5K Run/Walk raised $2,000 to assist patients in need.
