Cardiac Rehab: Making a Difference

Dave Crites and his wife lived in Port Clinton for awhile and were familiar with Magruder Hospital.  At the end of 2021 they moved to Woodville, and in September of 2022 Dave had by-pass surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.  They said he would need cardiac rehab after his surgery and a friend of theirs had been through cardiac rehab at Magruder and said it was a good experience.  Despite being a bit of a drive, Dave started cardiac rehab at Magruder and has been glad he made that decision ever since. “I’ve been in hospitals all over Ohio, and Magruder has impressed me unbelievably.”

The first thing Dave said he noticed was the cleanliness, which he said made him happy right off the bat.  Once he started with cardiac rehab he noted how Lisa and Sue made him feel like family.  “We talk about vacations and different things and they really listen to you, just like family.”   Dave also said that at first he didn’t know what to expect, but the orientation and education sessions were very helpful.  He has put some of their recommendations into practice and he reports his lab work has improved.

Magruder’s cardiac rehab is a powerful program of education and continuously monitored physical activity.  It’s personalized and our specialists are with you every step of the way.  As Dave says “they show real concern for me and my condition and that, to me, means everything.”
