When your doctor orders a lab test, get timely, and accurate results at any Magruder Hospital lab location. Our expert pathologists and phlebotomists can test blood, saliva, and other body fluids or tissue. We also provide same-day pre-employment drug screenings.

Diagnostic Lab Tests

Look to Magruder Hospital medical labs for specialized testing that:

• Checks for changes in your health like a blood tests for kidney function
• Detects substance use like a drug test or screening test
• Evaluates how well a treatment is working like a glucose tolerance test
• Looks for signs of a medical condition like a diabetes test or mono blood test

Your Lab Test

You do not need to be a Magruder patient to receive lab services at our locations.

Preparing For Your Test

Your doctor may give you instructions to follow before your test to make sure you get accurate results. You may need to reschedule a test if you don’t follow the instructions.

Outpatient Registration

Many outpatient lab tests require you to register first at Outpatient Registration, which can be done by coming in the outpatient entrance.

What to Bring

Please bring your:

• Driver’s license
• Order for lab work if you have one
• Insurance cards and information

If your lab test requires a physician’s order, your doctor can fax it to 419-732-4081.

Your Test Results

Your doctor’s office will call you when your results are ready and let you know if you need any follow-up appointments. Your results also are available on the Magruder patient portal HealtheView—your secure online health record.

Accredited Laboratory Services

The Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredits the Laboratory at Magruder Hospital for providing the highest standard of care for laboratory services.
