When to See a Wound Specialist
Get treatment for your cut, burn, or wound that:
- Hasn’t started to heal in two weeks
- Hasn’t improved with traditional methods of treatment
Conditions We Treat
Our wound care center can help with nonhealing, chronic wounds like:
- Dead tissue (gangrene)
- Diabetic ulcers, including diabetic foot ulcers
- Infections
- Pressure ulcers or bed sores
- Radiation tissue damage, also known as radiation dermatitis
- Surgical wounds, including failed skin grafts and skin flaps
- Traumatic wounds, including cuts and burns
- Venous skin ulcers
Advanced Wound Care
Your wound care team will work with you and your primary care provider to create a treatment plan. Depending on your wound type, you may receive:
- Advanced tissue growing therapies – Help new skin cells develop by delivering living tissues directly to the wound
- Compression therapy and edema management – Reduces swelling to increase the blood flow to lower legs, ankles, and feet
- Debridement – Removes dead tissue to allow new cells to grow and help your body heal
- Noninvasive vascular assessments – Ensure adequate blood flow to the affected areas to help wounds heal.
- Specialized wound dressings – Help cleanse and promote good healing tissues within the wound
Follow-Up Wound Care
Once your treatment at the wound clinic is complete, you’ll continue routine care through your primary physician.
