Magruder Hospital has received a grant for a new uMR680 MRI. Our Making Real Impact campaign is dedicated to raising funds to build an addition to the hospital to house this exciting new piece of equipment. Your generosity will help us reach our goal and ensure that every patient has access to the best possible care close to home.
Benefits of a NEW MRI machine include:
- Improved imaging capabilities
- Increased exam options
- Decreased time in the MRI
- Faster diagnoses
- More comfortable experience for patients
- Increased capacity for scheduling, which benefits patients and their families

“Magruder Hospital is upgrading its diagnostic imaging capabilities by bringing world-class MRI technology to the community. The United Imaging uMR 680 system, a high-performance 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, is designed to improve the patient experience by offering a more spacious environment. This advanced MR technology reduces scan times, provides high-resolution imaging with increased accessibility of appointments resulting in improved accuracy and quicker treatment plans. We are excited to offer the same MRI advanced imaging services found in larger healthcare institutions, right here in our community.”
Magruder Hospital Foundation
Independent community hospitals are vital to the health and well-being of the communities they serve. Magruder has been a solid member of the community since 1940 and we enjoy giving back through education, prevention, support and volunteering.
As healthcare has evolved, and funding programs and regulations continue to change, small, independent community hospitals have faced a daunting future. Even though Magruder faces these same challenges, we are committed to being an independent hospital with the freedom to make the best healthcare decisions for our community.
With the help of donors like you, the foundation can provide necessary assistance to Magruder through equipment purchases, service line expansion and upgraded technology.
